David Noel is the SVP & Head of the Caribbean Central & North and President & CEO, Scotia Group Jamaica Limited. In this position, David has the overall responsibility for the growth and profitable development of corporate, commercial and retail banking, insurance and wealth management through a network of branches and subsidiary companies across Jamaica, as well as the Central and North Caribbean islands.  Previous roles include Deputy CEO for Scotia Group Jamaica, and Managing Director for the Caribbean East region with responsibility for Barbados, Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St Lucia, St Kitts & Nevis, St Maarten and St Vincent and the Grenadines.

David is an experienced banker, attorney-at-law and CFA Charterholder. He joined Scotiabank Jamaica in 2001 as an Attorney in the Corporate & Legal department. He was appointed SVP, Senior Legal Counsel & Corporate Secretary in 2003 with responsibility for the Legal, Compliance and Corporate Secretarial Departments and was the principal legal adviser and head of compliance for the Scotiabank Jamaica Group. In June 2008, David moved to Toronto on a leadership development program and worked in Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Global Risk Management and various International Banking departments.

In 2010, he was appointed District Vice President in the Atlantic Canada Region where he was responsible for Scotiabank’s branch network in East New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island.
