Considered to be one of Jamaica’s leading entrepreneurs, Lyttleton ‘Tanny’ Shirley is highly regarded by his colleagues as a visionary in the field of business.
Mr. Shirley has over 42 years of involvement in Jamaica’s Private and Public sectors.
He demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit which, to date, has resulted in his shareholding involvement with several Jamaican companies. This also resulted in his 2005 nomination for the Jamaica Observer Business Leader Award.
In October 2017 he was recognised for his work in the public and private sectors with the Order of Distinction Commander Class.
Mr. Shirley’s patriotism now sees him actively involved in over ten (10) public sector entities. Among the entities he is now involved are:
Chairman – Factories Corporation of Jamaica Limited (2016 –present) – the largest provider of real estate in Jamaica
Vice Chairman – Board of the Health for Life and Wellness Foundation, Ministry of Health
Board Director – Board for the Port Authority of Jamaica
Chairman – Project Committee (Port Authority of Jamaica)
Chairman – Jamaica International Free Zone Development Ltd
Chairman – Kingston Free Zone
Chairman – National Solid Waste Management Authority’ Enterprise Divestment Team
Chairman – National Disaster Fund
Board Member – Divestment Team for the Norman Manley International Airport
Mr. Shirley also takes his civic responsibility very seriously and strongly believes in social participation to bring about positive change and growth for Jamaica.
