Oliver McIntosh has been President and CEO of SportsMax for the past 16 years. He was approached by sports enthusiast Pat Rousseau and Christopher Dehring with an idea of starting a business in Jamaica in 2002, and jumped on board.
Mr. McIntosh and his family migrated to the United States where he attended Townsend Harris High School in New York, which is ranked in the top 50 High Schools in the USA. While in the 10th grade, he applied and was accepted to Howard University, receiving a full academic scholarship and studied Actuarial Science, graduating with Honours.
After College, Olly (as he is fondly called) worked at Solomon Brothers Investment Bank in New York. After spending over 10 years as an Investment Banker, and becoming a VP at Merill Lynch in Europe he decided to leave.
Upon returning to Jamaica, he has served on several Boards including: Red Stripe, National Water Commission and AG Chem.
He is described as someone who has charisma, brains, intelligence and a zest for life.
