Prime Minister of JamaicaThe Most Honourable Portia Simpson Miller was sworn in as Prime Minister of Jamaica on January 5, 2012. Previously she had been Prime Minister from March 2006 to September 2007, after having served for 17 years as a Cabinet Minister with portfolio responsibility for Labour and Social Security, Tourism and Local Government, Community Development and Sport. She was conferred with the Order of the Nation in May 2006.

He is regarded as a skilled negotiator and international trade specialist, who emerged as a leading figure in negotiations in the World Trade Organization (WTO); the European Union/African, Caribbean and Pacific (EU/ACP) Cotonou Agreement; the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA) and the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME).
Development Bank (IDB) Ancile Brewster is Country Representative and Head of the Inter-American Development Bank operations in Jamaica since January 16, 2011. He was Country Representative and Head of the Inter-American Development Bank operations in the Republic of Suriname from July 2006 – January 2011.

A Bolivian national, works for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) since 2003. In 2008, he moved to Barbados as Private Sector Development Lead Specialist for the Caribbean Region. He is responsible for leading financial and technical assistance programs in the areas of private sector development and competitiveness in the Caribbean. He also serves as Executive Director of the COMPETE CARIBBEAN program, the largest IDB program to support private sector development and competitiveness projects in CARIFORUM countries.

In her position, Michele has played an integral role in managing Columbus' aggressive US$350 million capital investment program; a program that has virtually transformed the telecommunications industry in Jamaica.

John Bartholdi is a Professor in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he is Director of Global Research at The Supply Chain and Logistics Institute and holds the Manhattan Associates Chair of Supply Chain Management. He teaches courses in supply chain issues at both the undergraduate and graduate levels and in Georgia Tech's program of industry short courses.

He is the Chairman of the Board of Desnoes and Geddes, Pan Caribbean Financial Services, and number of Sagicor’s subsidiaries. Mr. Byles is a member of the Executive Committee of the ultimate parent company, Sagicor Financial Corporation.

IDB Mr. Wright is a Senior Investment Officer in the Structured and Corporate Finance Department at the Inter-American Development Bank (“IDB”) in Jamaica. Mr. Wright is responsible for making loans directly to the private sector throughout Latin America and the Caribbean with an emphasis on Jamaica.
Strategy Partners Ireland Peter Lillis, who lives in Dublin, Ireland, is a Director of Strategy Partners Ireland which recently completed a number of sectoral reviews, FDI strategies and value propositions for JAMPRO in the context of FDI and the planned Investment Forum. The IDB had appointed Strategy Partners as consultant to support the COMPETE CARIBBEAN Project in Jamaica.

IFC Niraj H. Shah, an Indian national, is a Senior Investment Officer with IFC’s Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) Regional Department, based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He is the Sector Lead for IFC’s investments across the Caribbean in the Manufacturing, Agribusiness and Services cluster. Niraj relocated to the DR in September 2011 from IFC’s Mumbai, India office where was the anchor for IFC’s investments in Agribusiness, Tourism and Retail across South Asia.
